Quality Engineer (Mechanical fabrication)
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat
Reporting To: Manager-QA & Systems
Experience in Years: Min. 5-12 Years
Educational Qualification: Diploma/ B.E.- Mechanical
Special Requirements: Must have 4-5 years experienced in Weldment Inspection and 4-5 years in mechanical fabrication area
Industry Exposure: Automobile/Heavy Engineering/Metal Fabrication

Expertise [Must Have]
- Hands on experience of measurement tools/equipment’s (like Vernier,
Micrometer, Filler/Radius/Tapper/Weld Gauges, etc.). - Understand Engineering drg., GD & T, Welding Standards, Symbol etc.
- Problem Solving skill –Root Cause Analysis/8D etc..
- Knowledge on Quality Tools, KAIZEN, 5’S.
- Experienced in Documentation as per QMS-ISO 9001
- Excellent Communication skill.
Expertise [Desired]
- Knowledge on Health & Safety ISO 45001, EMS 14001, EN1090-2, ISO 3834-2
Standards. - Certified Internal Auditor
Deliverables / Responsibility
- To do inward inspection of Metal parts/Machining items/Hydraulic/
Pneumatic Items etc. - To do in-process inspection of the welded structure as per Quality Control
Plan, Drg., Specifications etc. - To do Final Inspection of Jig & fixture’s/Tooling’s as per Drg/ITP/QAP.
- Supplier/Vendor End Inspection.
- Preparation of Inspection Reports, NCR’s, COPQ, KAIZEN, Deviation Reports
etc. - GRN Clearance, NCR/Quality Alerts etc. in Odoo System.
- Preparation of Documentation-Project wise FAT Reports.
- Ensure Calibration of measuring & monitoring equipment’s before due date
& Maintain calibration Status/Records according to the standards.
Authority
- Accept/Reject materials, components, and finished products per quality
standards. - Raise NCR, hold production for non-conformances, initiate CA/PA.
- Coordinate with suppliers on quality issues; escalate critical matters to
management.
