The Blade turner is a mechanical turning system that turns the blade during the finishing operation. The turner functions include rotating the blade clockwise and anticlockwise.
The DFS Cavity Heater is a heating system for temperature control of the cavity of a blade shell mould. The control system functions include heating, air flow, hydraulic positioning of the root cover and alarms/indications
The DFS non-destructive testing blade scanner is used to detect faults in the wind turbine blade spar cap area. Using phased array ultrasonic testing, the quality of bonding between spar cap and web can be validated. C-scan is used to validate the integrity of the spar cap as well as the quality and width of the bond, while an A-scan is used to measure the bonds thickness.
