The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Engineer to drive business growth and expand our market presence. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strategic customer relationships, understand technical requirements, and promote advanced composite materials and manufacturing solutions across a wide range of industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across a wide range of industries and markets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, EPC companies, and government organizations.
  • Generate leads through market research, industry networking, exhibitions, and customer visits.

    Technical Sales & Customer Support

  • Understand customer requirements and propose suitable composite material and manufacturing solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to develop customer-specific offerings.
  • Prepare technical presentations, proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and commercial quotations.

    Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and market developments.
  • Analyze customer needs and identify opportunities for new product development.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and provide regular business forecasts.

    Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of samples, prototypes, and commercial products.
  • Track project milestones and customer feedback.
  • Support contract negotiations and order finalization.

    Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and technical discussions.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and address commercial or technical concerns promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS

    Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Composite Engineering, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing/Business Management is preferred.

    Experience

  • 3–10 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or key account management.
  • Experience in composites, aerospace components, defense manufacturing, wind turbine components, or advanced materials is highly preferred.

    Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of composite materials (Carbon Fiber, Glass Fiber, Aramid, Prepregs, Resin Systems).
  • Familiarity with aerospace and defense standards and qualification processes.
  • Knowledge of wind turbine blade manufacturing and composite structures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

     Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • New customer acquisition.

    Location

  • Flexible / Customer-facing role with frequent domestic and international travel.

    Reporting To

  • Head of Business Development / Sales Director / CEO.
