The Role
We are seeking personnel with experience operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machinery (Siemens, Haas, Fanuc, Mazatrol, etc.), proficient in CAD and CAM software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360), and capable of diagnosing issues that may arise during machining. The ideal candidate must be able to respond promptly to prevent errors, ensure part quality, and demonstrate strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and G & M codes for proper machine operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Must have solid experience using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to generate accurate toolpaths and machining programs
- Must be proficient in CNC programming languages, including G and M codes, to properly control CNC machines
- Must be capable of reading and accurately interpreting technical drawings, including geometric tolerances (GD&T) and design specifications
- Must have knowledge of different CNC machines and controls (e.g., Siemens, Haas, Fanuc, Mazatrol, etc.)
- Must understand cutting tools, their selection, and design for different materials and machining processes
- Must be able to diagnose and resolve issues during machine operation, including program errors, tool wear, or system failures
- Precision in programming and blueprint interpretation is essential to avoid errors and ensure high part quality
- Must be able to identify improvement opportunities within machining processes and take initiative to implement them
- Strong understanding of geometry, algebra, and trigonometry is required to perform machining calculations
- Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to solve technical problems
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a CNC Engineer
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (GD&T) and design specifications
- Knowledge of cutting tools and proper selection for various materials
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems in machining operations
- Strong understanding of geometry, algebra, and trigonometry for machining processes
- CAD experience
- CAM experience
- Advanced English
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret BOMs, drawings, and customer requirements and translate them into final products
- Experience in process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Mechatronics, or related field
- Ability to develop cost-saving or efficiency improvement projects for machining processes
- Advanced English level
- Completed bachelor’s degree is required
