The Role
We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician with a solid background across a range of advanced composite manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and thrives in a precision-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture composite components using hand lay up, resin infusion and pre preg techniques
- Prepare plugs and moulds, lay-up dry fibre reinforcements, consumables, and vacuum systems
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, laminates schedules, and work instructions
- Ensure components meet quality, dimensional, and cosmetic standards for key customers within Aerospace and Wind Energy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Identify and resolve process or quality issues proactively within a project based environment.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Composite Technician, with a strong focus on infusion processes, and other advanced processing methods.
- Good understanding of composite materials (carbon fibre, glass fibre, resins, cores)
- Experience with vacuum systems, leak detection, and process control
- Ability to work accurately, consistently, and to tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in aerospace, marine, automotive, or motorsport composites
- Knowledge of health & safety standards relating to composite manufacturing
- Experience with tooling, mould preparation, and finishing processes
- Experience with electrical installation.
